Today we found out from Tennis New Zealand that we unfortunately are unable to coach during the level 3 lockdown. HOWEVER! there is a few things you can do during level 3. Have a read of the following rules set by Tennis New Zealand.

Hello all,
Following updates from Sport New Zealand, Tennis NZ are updating their guidelines for tennis in Level 3. In short, playing tennis with other members of your bubble is permitted on public and accessible courts. Guidelines for clubs will be quite stringent however. Club rooms must remain closed. Please see "Scenarios at Level 3" in the non-contact sport section of the linked document from Sport NZ.
* Pleased to see that playing tennis within your bubble is permitted * Clubs choosing to open must be confident and comfortable that they can follow the health and safety measures recommended by Government * Tennis NZ will have a ‘toolkit’ ready for clubs to use from Tuesday. This will include: ** A contact tracing FORM on tennis.kiwi for everyone to complete before they play ** A contact tracing POSTER that you can print and display clearly on the gate/fence/club entrance ** Updated Community Tennis Guidelines for Continued Play which will include clear health and safety guidelines from the Government, relevant for tennis * There is no obligation for a club or centre to open if it is not practical to do so * Unfortunately coaching will not be permitted at Level 3, unless the coach and player are already within the same bubble. Read the full Sport NZ guidelines at the link below. Some useful ‘back to play’ ideas can be found in Tennis NZ's Covid Toolkit for clubs, which will be especially useful ahead of Level 2 and Level 1. Wilding Park will continue to be closed throughout Level 3. Applications for the Wilding Challenge are still being accepted. The start date of the competition will be postponed. New start date to be announced after the completion of Level 3 is confirmed.
